History
In 1947 the company founder Ernst doppler started an umbrella production with 2 employees. His daughter Renate and her husband Hermann Würflingsdobler senior successfully continued the development work.
The increasing expansion of the family business is successfully continued in third generation. Originally just umbrellas were produced. As a seasonal compensation garden parasols were added to the programme. The production of cushions was added years later. To make the garden programme perfect also garden furniture is offered now.

- 1988 opening of the purchase and sales office in Taiwan
- 1990 foundation of the subsidiary "Derby Umbrella Ltd." in Hong Kong
- 1991 foundation of the subsidiary "doppler CZ" in the Czech Rep. (production of cushions)
- 1992 foundation of the subsidiary "doppler" in Slovakia
- 1999 new company building doppler Braunau
- 2004 foundation of a joint venture in Slovakia (production of garden parasols)
- 2005 acquisition of the label Knirps (73%)
- 2006 investment in a Romanian production and trading company
- 2008 foundation of Knirps Media GmbH - development, production and sale of high-quality umbrellas for the industry with original Knirps models (modified/branded)
